1. Set the width and backside setting using the ruler mark stamped into the tool. 2. Support the suspension and turn to full left lock, looking for clearance problems. If needed, you simply loosen 2 wing nuts and adjust the backside setting independently of the width. 3. Turn to full right lock and check both sides again. Spin the tool 360° and check the clearance to brake caliper. This will indicate how much X-Factor or caliper clearance is needed on the mounting pad to clear the caliper. 4. At critical angles, perform a jounce test to determine if the fender will touch the tire based on the alignment angles. To see how we set this car up, check out the Gallery. |
